THE SHACK

The ShackHave you read the shack? It’s been promoted by the marketing gurus in the Christian media market. I’ve heard mixed review about it. There are those who seem to catch the theology and hate it, and those who don’t catch the theology and love it. This seems to be the two camps of people I’ve found.

I bought the book last week and will write on the theology of it when I finish it. Most of the issues people raise seem to be the its eschatology (“The Last Things”). This is where our focus will mainly be. I’ve people a semester reading on different views of salvation and eschatology. So, we’ll wrestle with some of that here, as well as in other upcoming posts.

So, pick the book up if you haven’t. I’m not recommending it just yet, but if everyone around you is reading something that will inform their theology, you should probably have an informed opinion about that book. That’s what we’ll seek to develop, so read it and then we can discuss.
